Red Bull Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick has hailed the talents of Celtic wonderkid Kieran Tierney, as well as his team-mates Callum McGregor and Odsonne Edouard.
A number of young British talents have headed to the Bundesliga in recent months, including Jadon Sancho, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City, and Reiss Nelson, who moved to Hoffenheim on loan from Arsenal.
Rangnick does not expect Tierney, who has been linked with moves to the likes of Everton and Manchester United, to follow in their footsteps, however, as he believes that his side cannot afford to recruit any of Celtic’s three young stars.
“Tierney, McGregor and Edouard are great talents in Scottish football,” he said, per the Scottish Sun.
“Tierney in particular is one of the biggest talents in Europe. He can defend and he likes to get forward.
“Those three are good players but Celtic are a club that is well known across Europe for not letting players go for a bargain.
“We are not interested in them though — because we don’t have the kind of money needed to invest in those players!”
Leipzig are currently fifth in the Bundesliga, but they have lost just once in the league this season.
Celtic, meanwhile, are second in the SPL after a poor start, sitting six points behind leaders Hearts.
The two clubs will meet in the Europa League on Thursday, with both sides having taken three points from their opening two games.
